It was published in the local newspaper with basically no edits – testament to its publishable quality, as all Jagged Edge releases are written by journalists! – and some of the copy produced was also used in their advertisement. Pro-Fit Physio & Allied Health Centre has been an important part of the community for more than 12 years. During this time, Pro-Fit has experienced significant growth, which has recently been reflected in a move to larger premises, the expansion of services and a change of name.
Formally known as Picnic Point Physiotherapy, Pro-Fit has relocated from Marco Avenue to Revesby Place. To celebrate, Pro-Fit is offering readers a free GaitScan Assessment, valued at $95, until the end of May 2013.
This state-of-the-art technology allows practitioners to analyse patient biomechanics and, if needed, order custom orthotic products.
Backed by almost 30 years’ experience, physiotherapist Albert Nakhla explained: “The GaitScan allows us to identify flaws in your biomechanics that, if left untreated, can develop into painful conditions over time.”
The Pro-Fit team comprises 12 highly qualified and experienced specialists – six physiotherapists, three psychologists, two remedial masseurs and a dietitian – who are supported by a practice manager and two receptionists.
The wide range of services offered include, but are not limited to: sports injury treatment, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, personalised gym programs, deep tissue massage – even pilates classes, starting at just $12!
Pro-Fit is open from 8am to 7pm on weekdays and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. Same day appointments can often be organised. Appointments are preferred so patients can be allocated the appropriate length of time for specialists to assess and/or meet their treatment needs.
Bulk billing is available between 9am and 4pm for those on EPC and Mental Health plans. Pro-Fit accepts all health funds and is a preferred provider for Bupa. HICAPS and EFTPOS facilities are available on site. DVA, WorkCover and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) cases are accepted.
